The green light on the charger also lights up when I plug it in so it is probably not the outlet that is the problem plus I've tried it in multiple outlets. I've checked the charger itself and nothing came loose. I was downloading a large file so I had it running for about six hours straight if that makes any difference. As far as I know all the other components work correctly though it does have poor battery life. I was using it when this happened, I just noticed that the light went off and then it wouldn't charge when I plugged in the charger.
My PC is the Acer 5920G best buy configuration, about two years old and no components are overclocked. When I plug in the charger the light that normally comes on to indicate that it is charging does not light up and in windows the icon that indicates that it is charging does not come up either.
